Great RV park!! The park owners are working very hard to make this a wonderful park. They have only owned it for 3 years but have great visions for the park. All sites are gravel and are very level. We stayed in the front sites which were back-in's. The back section of the park are all pull throughs. When we arrived our site was only equiped with 30amps, but within the hour, the owners had someone there to upgrade our site to 50amps. Now that is service!! The park is situated along a river. They have a private dock that you can fish off and a public boat ramp next to the park. Wonderful staff!!! Don't pass this one by. It is only 15 miles from Florence. We stayed here in a 5th wheel and are making plans to stay for a month on the next visit.
This is truly an oceanfront campground. If you are lucky enough to have sites 1 to 20 you will have the ocean to lull you to sleep every night. You are within 100 feet of the beach. Sites are large, paved and well maintained. One of the best state parks we have ever stayed in. Lots of visibility of park rangers for security. We camp there yearly for the Washington State Kite Festival in Long Beach. Need to plan for this as the park is in high demand during the summer.
Clean well maintained RV park. Friendly and helpful staff. Spacious sites large enough for long trailers and motorhomes. Wi-fi was dependable and easy to access. Great small fishing town atmosphere. Had a great car show while we were there at the end of July. This was our second trip to American Sunset and will be going back.
Located on the Washington side of the Columbia River Gorge away from highway and train noise. Only a year old, it is a very private and secluded park. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Owner will make you coffee in the morning! Great gathering hall with complete kitchen. Level gravel sites, some tucked away in the trees. Great pet area. Recommend very highly and are planning a return trip in October to watch the colors change.
